The Pages Themselves
A photograph of the register page for each reading in this archive that has one — the film, the image number, the entry — so a claim can be checked against the page and not only against this site's account of it.
The readings on this site are transcriptions, and a transcription is only as good as the person who made it. So for the finds that matter most, the page itself is kept here, reduced to a readable size, with where it is: the film, the image number, the position on the page, and a link to the viewer.

«Na 4: [month?] 1742. Korstih sina Dume urode i njegove xene [Jerolime?] imenom [Cvidora?] Juria. Bi kum Milo Bulinc(?) a kuma Marija xena Martina Vorbanovića». The child is a SON of Dume Uroda; the given name is two words, the second read as «Juria»/«Furia». Read at the page's full resolution; the first word of the name and the month are not read with confidence. RE-READ AT HIGHER MAGNIFICATION (second image): «Na 4: [Ajmila/Apmila, month not read] 1742 · [K]orstih sina Dume urode i njegove xene … imenom [Gvidora/Evidora] Juria [Furia], bi kum Milo Bulinc … a kuma Marija xena Martina …». «Sina Dume urode» (son of Dume Uroda) is clear; the child's name is two words, the first read as Gvidora/Evidora and the second as Juria/Furia; the month word is not Aprila (the entry follows 3 and 4 June) and is not read.

A baptism to Dume Uroda and a wife named EVA five years before the Franica of December 1739 — the earliest child of this couple seen. The by-name after «alliti» was first read as Horaca; re-read at 3x on 11 October 2026 it is «kovaca» — a smith's by-name (kovač), which would tie Dume to the many Kovačević of Karlobag. The FamilySearch index reads this father as SIME Uroda (baptism 16 January 1733, parents Sime Uroda and Eva). The first letter of the father's name is not firm: it may be a Dume with the capital misread. If it is Dume, Dume and Eva had Antona in January 1733, a child in March 1734 and Franica in December 1739. The same page is repeated on image 56 (duplicate frame).

Karlobag marriages (Vjenčani) 1736–1804 (DGS 5481649, FamilySearch waypoint 9RK1-HZK)
Karlobag marriages (Vjenčani) 1736–1804 (DGS 5481649, FamilySearch waypoint 9RK1-HZK) · image 279, left-hand page: the entry headed «Dan 7: Junija», after the year heading «Letta 1739» and the entry of 28 May.
«Dan 7: Junija. Andrij Kollekar Plovan sakupih u S. Matrimonij Martina Svjata [Sviata?] y Simonu pokoi[nog] Dume urode od Sibenika. Biha svidoki Tavia Kovacevich y Bartul Misich.» The wording matches the book's formula for a bride «Heer pokoi X» (daughter of the late X), though the word «Heer» is not written here. So: a DUME URODA from Šibenik, dead by June 1739, with a daughter Simona. The living Dume Uroda of the Karlobag baptisms (wife Eva, daughter Franica baptised December 1739) cannot be this man, so this is a second Dume Uroda — possibly the living Dume's father or another relation, not established — and the first sight of the family as Dalmatian. «Die 29 Octobris 1740. Magdalena Infans [?] filia Magistri Georgii Vrode, animam Deo reddidit, cuius corpus sepultum fuit in Ecclesia S. Dominici Fratrum Praedicatorum.» Read at about 4x; the second word after the forename is faint and may be «Infans». **A child of a Magister Georgius Vroda dies in October 1740** — and no baptism of a Magdalena (or any child of a Georgius Uroda) is in the Dolac baptism book of 1731–1744 (images 108–129, read), so she was baptised in another parish or not entered.

A Dolac household baptised at the cathedral baptistery with the Ordinary's leave: the Lucas Vrodi × Mariota of the Dolac books (Antonius 6 August 1692, Michael 13 July 1698) is the likely couple, but the Dolac baptism books carry no Michaela — so a Dolac family's children may be missing from the Dolac books.

Ja pop Anton Hreljanović krstih sina Mikule [Babi — struck out] Bach[…], imenom Luca, komu bi kum Volfa Ivich, a kuma njegova mat Marija.» Read at about 5x; the surname is cut by the edge of the left page after «Bach» and the scribe struck out a first spelling, so **«Bachi» is the index's reading, not a firm one — it may be Bačić or another name**. The name Luca is a man's (Luka) here, though the index files it as a woman. If it is Bachi it is a Bachi at Karlobag 38 years before the marriage of 1753, and the Caetanus of 1753 need not have come from Pag.
