The Latin-language 1855 pages of the Senj death register (the book «Knjiga Mertvih od God. 1849», Državni arhiv Zagreb, Zbirka matičnih knjiga Br. 1118; from February 1855 each entry is written out in full: «Anno Domini 1855 die N [month] Segniae obiit in Domino: [name], [age], e [cause], omnibus moribundorum Sacramentis provisa, et sepulta est in communi Coemeterio St. Viti, comitante Antonio Lukovich [or Laurentio Verhovac] Cooperatore loci»), image 567 left page, the first entry. Read at a band of the half-page cropped to the lines, at page scale (about 1x; the name, the age, «Catholica, e Baška oriunda» and the cause legible; the surname is written «Zubranić» as in the Zubranić of 1849 and the Žubrinić bride of Baška of 1850, image 349). A woman born about 1795 who came to Senj from Baška on the island of Krk and died there of dysentery in the cholera summer of 1855; the Žubrinić of Baška are a family this archive follows, and the register says in so many words that she was «oriunda» (native) of Baška (snapshotted; read at about 6x).
