Death date
| The tree says | 26 June 1828 |
|---|---|
| The record says | 28 June 1828, aged 61, buried the 29th |
Karlobag deaths 1804-1861, page 35 (image 138 right-hand page): «Josephus Pilepich Carlobagensis annorum 61 … cujus corpus die 29 h. sepultum est». The margin reads 28 June and the volume's own alphabetical index (P, folio 35) reads 28 too; the burial is the next day, which fits a death on the 28th and a death on the 26th badly. The margin digit is a looped 8 that could be a 6 at the resolution reached. The entry names no wife or parent, so it is a PROBABLE match for ahnentafel 52 and not a proven one. The tree is not changed here. Read it →

The mark describes the person, not the link. Of the 4 relatives drawn here, 4 have a document of their own in this archive — but that is not the same as a document tying them to this person. This archive holds no separate proof for most parent–child links; where it does, the note above this chart says so in words.

| Year | Document | The citation, in the register's own words |
|---|---|---|
| 1768 | baptism index only — the page has not been opened | Karlobag, 11 March 1768 — INDEX ONLY, «Josephum Piberich», father «Jacobi Piberich», mother «Catharina»; ark 1:1:QKMX-YX3G. «Piberich» is the index's misreading and occurs nowhere else at Karlobag; the same couple are «Pillopich» in 1758 and «Pillepich» in 1762 and 1765 notes/karlobag-the-index-calls-them-piberich.md |
| 1798 | marriage | Karlobag marriages 1736-1804 image 343 right (DGS 5481649), 14 Feb 1798: «consensu Josephi viduei [Pilepich?] et Mariae filiae Vincenti [Smojver?]» - PROBABLE: surnames faint, date, first names and the father's given name fit; he is written as a widower notes/karlobag-marriage-1798-pilepich-smojver.md |
| 1828 | death | Karlobag Umrli 1804-1861 page 35 (image 138 right, DGS 5481649, waypoint 9RK1-HZK) — «28 Junii [margin, read; the KAZALO also reads 28] Josephus Pilepich Carlobagensis annorum 61 in communione S. Matris Ecclesiae animam Deo reddidit, cujus corpus die 29 h. sepultum est in coemeterio S. Caroli». READ FROM THE IMAGE, found through the KAZALO (P, image 185 right, 1828, folio 35). THE TREE SAYS 26 JUNE 1828, two days out against two readings, and the age 61 is a year over the tree's 60. A probable match for ahnentafel 52, not a proven one: the entry names no wife or parent; ark 3:1:3QSQ-G99C-G9HP notes/karlobag-deaths-1809-1828.md |

this archive has shown something recorded about them to be wrong.

Where this sits on the line
Ahnentafel 52 — generation 6 of Hedviga's descent. Every person's father is twice their own number and their mother twice plus one, so this person's parents are 104 and 105.
The register spells this surname more than one way, and the search folds the forms together — so Xubrinich and Žubrinić, Joannis and Ivan, find each other.
