The Latin-language 1855 pages of the Senj death register (the book «Knjiga Mertvih od God. 1849», Državni arhiv Zagreb, Zbirka matičnih knjiga Br. 1118), in the cholera summer of 1855, when the entries run at five or six a day, image 569 left page. Read at a band of the half-page cropped to the lines, at page scale (about 1x; the child's name, the father's occupation and name «hortulani Georgii Babić» and the age legible). A boy born about 1851; his father Georgius Babić is a gardener of Senj — a different man from the veteran Georgius Babić, aged 78, of January 1855 (image 564L), though the register does not say so, and it may be the father of the Antonius Babić, aged 2, who died the next day (entry 138, image 569R; there the father is called bajulus, a porter) (snapshotted; read at about 6x).
