The Latin-language 1855 pages of the Senj death register (the book «Knjiga Mertvih od God. 1849», Državni arhiv Zagreb, Zbirka matičnih knjiga Br. 1118), in the cholera epidemic of August–September 1855, when each page holds some thirty entries, image 571 left page. Read at full page scale (about 1x; the child's name, the father's «bajuli Francisci Babić» and the cause legible; the months after «2 Annorum» are read with a query). A girl born about early 1853. There is another Maria, daughter of a bajulus Franciscus Babić, aged 6, who died two days before (entry 178, image 570R) — the register's two Marias of one father are read as two sisters (a first Maria would not usually share the name), but a clerk's mistake or two fathers of the same name are possible (snapshotted; read at about 6x).
