The Latin-language 1855 pages of the Senj death register (the book «Knjiga Mertvih od God. 1849», Državni arhiv Zagreb, Zbirka matičnih knjiga Br. 1118), in the cholera summer of 1855, when the entries run at five or six a day, image 569 right page, the first entry. Read at a band of the half-page cropped to the lines, at page scale (about 1x; the name, the father's «bajuli Georgii Babić» and the age legible). A boy born about 1853, a son of a Georgius Babić who is called a porter (bajulus) here and a gardener (hortulanus) in the entry for Jacobus, aged 4, of the day before (entry 131) — the two may be brothers, the register does not say (snapshotted; read at about 6x).
