There is a lot of gaps in the family history we have no info about , my dad never really talked about these things , did however mention the Andries Pretorius connection , and that our grandfather was quite musical and could play a number of instruments - why my dad was not in the photo , he spoke once of him working for a construction company up in Africa and when he got paid took uncle Piet and some Abraham Kriel boys on a trip to St Lucia , that must have been an adventure , those days there were no infrastructure there
